Research Position in Computational Optoelectronics

Available Position:
<BR>Computational Science and Engineering Center of Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Korea invites applications for a research position in the area of Computational Optoelectronics and Photonics. The project the candidate will be involved into is devoted to the computational optoelectronics for display devices (such as LCD - liquid crystal display) and/or optical devices employed for telecommunication (like lasers, holograms, optical fibers). <BR>Research capability required:
<BR>Ordinary and/or partial differential equations, Maxwell's equations, optoelectronic properties such crystal structures, color theory, geometric and/or wave optics, classical optics (quantum optics desired but not required).
<BR>
<BR>Computational capability required:
<BR>Programming languages such as FORTRAN, C, C++, java, MS Visual-Basic; numerical methods for differential and integral equations, other statistical methods such as Monte Carlo, finite-difference or finite-element methods (FDM, FEM).
<BR>
<BR>Requirements to the Candidate:
<BR>MS (Mater of Science) or PhD in science or engineering. Good command of English. A strong motivation to learn oneself and work toward the above goal would be better valued although one might have a deficiency in some of the above-stated requirements.
